The first step after the purchase of your hot tub is to make an appointment with The Spa Guys for proper hot tub moving and hot tub installation or spa moving and spa installation.
It’s imperative that your hot tub be set up on a level area with easy access to a garden hose and electricity. One of our skilled technicians will look at your yard and help you decide the best spot to place your hot tub. We will also be able to identify the electrical requirements of your hot tub, and we can work with our sister company Franklin Electric to make any necessary adjustments to the wiring and connection to the hot tub panel.
Schedule your installation with us and we’ll not only get everything connected but we’ll evaluate your hot tub’s performance, fill it, balance your chemicals and give you an orientation if necessary.
What to consider beforehand:
1. Level ground
Most professionals will agree that a concrete foundation is best for your Jacuzzi, spa, or hot tub. The solid support means that delivery, maintenance and even repairs are a little easier. But if you don’t have a concrete slab and you don’t want to pour one, decks can also provide a nice level surface. Occasionally, some yards are level enough even without concrete or a deck but be sure to confirm with a professional. The Spa Guys are happy to provide installation services to help you decide on the best possible placement of your hot tub and help you with any work you might need preformed.
2. Width of Gates and Doors
In the excitement of anticipating the arrival of the new hot tub, not everyone remembers to make sure that their yard is accessible for delivery. Be sure to measure all door and gates to confirm that the hot tub will fit through. If not, there are other delivery options you can consider, such as crane delivery or simply the temporary removal of a part of your gate.
3. Preparing the Area for Your Hot Tub
While booking a professional maintenance and cleaning service is very helpful, it’s also important to prepare an appropriate area for your hot tub. We recommend choosing an area away from trees or bushes if possible, or that you remove any low hanging branches. These tips help to avoid a lot of unwanted debris. Take all these things into consideration when setting up your spa!
